unsettled

a few weeks back i sat talking with my elder brother
me and him
we don't usually talk much since he's always so busy with work
by talk i mean really talk
speak and listen

he said
when a person really loves another
and then has to let go of them,
in many circumstances..
their heart never really mends properly
so they tend to be really delicate and fragile
they yearn for that feeling that is lost

when they are in this stage,
they settle for less
they settle for second best

..
and second best is not a good place to be
i would know
