Neoprint-ed History

Right at this point of time, my body is aching all over. And my ass is trying to find the softest part of the cushion-lined chair that i am currently sitting on. Why am i aching you ask? Well firstly, i spent my weekend well. Yesterday was the NYPGC Orientation 2006. I was damn nervous at the start of the day because i was scared the orientation wouldn't flow well. Yea since i have been sabotaged by my batch to be the jr-in-charge of the orientation planning.. In the end the whole event ended well although there were some parts where the juniors had to wait for some time. It was fun coz most of the jrs were sporting and willing to join in the games we planned for them like Blow Wind Blow and Charades. But there was no time to play Balloon+Leg=POP! coz of the time constraint.. A lot of us were really looking forward to that game..

Kudos to Mark for taking up the role of emcee, Huiwen for playing an active role in engaging with the jrs and the games and to the rest of NYPGC whose help has made the orientation a success [well, a success kinda]..

Oh and the aching is not because of the orientation, it was due to the spot of iceskating we did after the event. Held at Fuji Ice Palace in Jurong for $8.50 per student per 2 hours. $2 gloves and $2.10 skates.. My first time to ever stand on hard shoes that only has like 10% of it touching the floor. Boy was it scary.. I've never even rollerbladed before. The only skating i've done was rolling around on a skateboard. My first fall was the most painful coz i fell squarely on my ass.. [ like, Owwh!!] The other uh 5 or 6 falls were slow [as in i was abt to fall but there was someone holding my hand so they had to help me sit instead of falling flat on the ice.] After a lot of help and me nearly squeezing the hand off of Julian, Kenneth L, Shin Nie and a few others i am glad to say that i have improved from the time i first set foot [or skate if u insist] into the rink.. hehe But i still don't have the balls to skate to the center of the rink w/o any support from anyone.. yet! [the ice-skating not the balls, mind you! :b] Mayb a few more sessions to improve my balance?

That was my second experience walking around in wet jeans. First was the sauna BBQ secondary class outing. Now this.. Fell too many times on the ice so my pants got soaked. Cant blame an amateur.. Ate at the foodcourt along with the other 11 NYPGC members [who could come] with freezing asses. [okay so only abt 7 of us were at risk for hypothermia, the other 5 us were pro enough not to fall on the wet ice. hmmph] My legs were still swollen this morn but heck it was well worth it.. :D

On the ice. [i'm holding onto Alvin's arm coz i was afraid i'll fall on the ice and be 'pictured' lying on the floor.. hehe]

Today, me, my 2 lil bros, big sis and her fiancee went to Wild Wild Wet coz my sis had 5 free tickets to enter the park. Some May Day Carnival ar.. First time also but not much diff from the swimming complex at Jurong. The Slide Up! ride was darn scary.. I screamed both times i rode it tho it was the only ride that managed to make me scream. Gosh what an exhilarating ride! Wish they had more of these rides.. The rest were so un-exciting.. maybe except for the Sky-Rider.. Cycling [10 meters? i dunno how to estimate but it was kinda high] in the air.. Wish Singapore had more of these kinds of theme parks but with more adult scary rides.. Rollercoasters or something like that. Yea well am satisfied i had a fun weekend. One more day to go before school starts again.. Hmm that reminds me i have lotsa research to do for projects.. Shyte. -_-
