Well today's the third day of raya and i'm bored at home. Day One was fun tho; we went to Cik Mah's house for a family reunion cum mass-uh-forgiveness thingy.. Haha how do i explain this.. Well, all of the relatives on my Mum's side gather in one house. Then we line up from the elderst to the youngest and ask for forgiveness from each other. Packets filled with Singapore currency are distributed [my fave part! :P] to the young ones. After tt we proceeded to stuff our faces silly with delicious kuihs and food brought by my relatives.

The second house we went to was my aunt on my dad's side; Bibik Manik. I loe going to their house. They always seem to have their computers on for the little kids to play. Well i'll let the pics speak for itself.

Uh too down to talk much. Wanna know why? Cuz i'm kinda sick. Went to the polyclinic yesterday and the doctor said i had some kind of viral skin infection or what. Not sure what it is exactly but all i know is it HURTS like a b*tch!! Well i'm kind of apprehensive and reluctant to write it here but wth.. The doctor mentioned something about sakit Cina [means Chinese sickness] and snake.. Eff la!! Snake?! Doesn't sound that scary here but read on..

Conversation we had while waiting for yet another 2 grueling hours for the medicine [was prescribed Acyclovir tablets and cream] with my mum [she offered to come along with me. Sweet right? awW..]

[translated to English for my loving readers..]
Mum: Eh the doctor said something about snake and sakit Cina just now right? I heard tt if the thing manages to go round the body/waist, the person will die.
Me: *speechless*
(2 minutes pass)
Me: Ma. (grasps mum's hands tightly and stares deep into her eyes) Before i die, can i dye my hair red?
(Mum smacks my shoulder and we both laugh.)

~Heh. Moments like are what makes me feel lucky that i get along well with my loved ones..

The inspiration for the red-tinged hair was when i watched Singapura Live! Edisi Raya on Suria channel a few days back. Fell in love with the lead from Aegyptie's red highlights. That and the hairstyle combined equals phoAr!! I like~ .. I tried to find peektures of that hairstyle online but to no avail.. Hmm maybe Suria could show a repeat of the show again? Pretty please?

gosh oh gosh it has been a busy week! What with all the brain-racking for suitable birthday presents and all the sabotage planning..
So far this month's birthday beings are:
2nd- Michelle Segal
7th- Suriawati [sis]
13th- Huiwen
14th- Kenneth Chng

Celebrated Hwen's bdae on Wednesday 11th Oct after guitar practice. Zuyi bought a chocolate coffee cake [of which most of it ended up on the floor and on Hwen herself :P] and we hid it in the club room for her to find when she opens the door. So basically Hwen went home all covered in shiny purple glitter and smelling sugary. Have fun scrubbing your face blue black getting all that glitter off eh.. Heh

Then on Saturday we planned a water bomb assault for Ken C. Aaron and Alvin came along to celebrate with us. I managed to smash one right on Ken's head and one in front of his face. Ahaha. Actually Ken wanted a truce but i wasn't about to let all the planning go to waste. I popped one on his noggin, then Ken got a hold of the second one tt was in my hand. So i popped that one too.. If not i would have been the one getting wet.. hell no i'm not going home dripping :P

After tt we had dinner at Zingdo slash Breeks! at AMK and watched the Departed at Jubilee. Too bad the birthday boy wasn't able to join us. But yea the movie was darn good. Eh not to mention it was M-18.. and i'm 17! Guns, blood, eff words everywhere. Sayang would not have been happy.. ~kuangkuangkuang

Just an update: Attachment in IMH. So far ok. Interesting cases seen. Good thing i'm not in an acute ward. Its scarier there cuz the patients are not as stable as the chronic and long term stay patients. Quite boring at times bcuz we dun have much things to do like the normal nursing skills we can't really practice. But it's fun shouting out the patients' name when taking their parameters for them. And some of the uncles are cute la the way they act. Wish i can see an OCD [Obsessive Compulsive Disorder] patient. Seen and heard so much abt the repetitious things they do- like Micheal J Fox in Scrubs and one episode of Criminal Minds. Cool seh.

Welp i'm not supposed to be online long. Gonna start limiting myself. If not i'll sleep at 12pm to 1pm and tomorrow's morning shift. Yea til next time! Woohoo CSI: Miami here i come.

Uber Hyper-nessity?

Feeling super happy, hyper and exuberant today! Hoho. Must be cuz of my date with Sayang Huiwen. hehe. Had loads of fun comparing primary and secondary peektures. Yea the pizza @ Pizza Hut was damn nice. Still can't believe you never dined in before la. Chicken soup also not bad but if there was my fave mushroom soup it'll be nicer. Hehe

After we bought Zuyi's present (nice black Billabong pencilcase with gorgeous pink fonts) we went back school for guitar class.. We decided to buy tt instead of a teeshirt or wallet cuz Hwen said he didnt have a proper pencil case. More of those primary school pencil box kind.. haha. So i think it was a perfect present for him. Yea Happy Blated Bdae Zuyi!! I dunno you how old leh.. Forgot to ask. Hehe 19 already ar? Waa i still not legal age yet. Heh. Must wait so long. Hrmmph cannot go clubbing.. Even if i fake an entry, i know i sure as hell can't pass to look like a 16 year old .. Hmm~

Guitar class was fun today. But i still very slow at learning new song cuz i can't read notes tt fast la. Dun blame me so much cuz i did not have any experience before this ok? The last instrument i played was the recorder in Pri 6 la like everyone else. Pathetic huh? And i picked up the guitar only last year to enter the Nanyang Poly Guitar Club as a CCA. Yea i soo love the people there. Now we planning to go out.. But clash with the fasting month. Jia lat leh. Going out with these crazy bunch of people is so fun. Espesh with the bunch of regulars- Hwen sayang, Ken C, Zuyi, Julian, Lydia, Baz, Sean and Mark etc. Looking forward to every practice on Wed and Saturdays..

I think i still have a lot more to type. But tired already.. Need my beauty sleep. Hehe. Will continue blogging soon..

I am in a good mood. Yay! Got back from jogging with mum at the uh 'longkang besar' near my house. Getting fat already le. Hehe. You must be wondering of all places in the world why the heck i'm doing my morning jog [o.O] beside a big drain eh? Well it's just tt the gov made like a jogging cum bicycle track beside the longkang. Dunno y ar the gov so clever want to make full use of the space~ kalau bau wangi takpe jugak.. Punggol Park is also a bit too far so we ended up there ar. Had fun joking around and catching up on things with my mum.. I feel oh so happy and blessed knowing that i am in good terms with my parents and can joke with them and treat them like best friends; since i know of many peeps who can't even bear to look at their family members or just treat their parents as money banks. hehe i used to always go to my mum for $$ but now tt i'm sponsored well i am a bit more independent.. Yessah!
Yea i am so in luv with my family! :P Wish we had more family outings tho but dad's been realll busy with work and mum with all the jualans an stuff. Sigh~

Flashbacks

Came back from School Health Services at Marymount Convent. We as student nurses have to go to a primary or secondary school to observe how and what the nurses do for the children, as part of our syllabus or something.. Aww the Primary 1 kids were all so adorable and naive.. Hmm lets do a flashback thingy to our primary school years why dont we?

*Sit back and enjoy the trip into the past* Phoosh!!

- You grew up watching He-man, Care Bears, Transformers, Captain Planet [oOo.. Earth! Wind! Water! Fire! something something! ahaha can't the last element.. ] and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja Turtles and Smurfs too.. [hehe i still love TMNT btw..]

- You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug. The teachers said you must brush each side ten times too. [yea i still remember how long the sink in my school was.. Located underneath the hall near the music room..]

- You know what TCS stands for.. [Pri sch joke. Toilet Cleaning Service back when Mediacorp was still TCS]

- You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in secondary school. [I only got my first handphone in Sec 3. So late la had to convince my dad.. Nowadays even pri one kids have handphones.. Hrrmmph not fair..]

- You've probably read Young Generation magazine. You know who's Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable. [ a bit lame ar the magazine. But hey there's comics in there! Comics are always good.. haha. Ouh and remembr the packets of milk we'll get every month. Haha i always look forward to tt.. Yumm chocolate milk..]

- You longed to buy tibits called Kaka(20 cents per pack) and Ding Dang(50 cents per box), that had a toy in it and it changes every week not forgetting the 15 cents animal crackers and the ring pop, where the lollipop is the diamond on the ring. [oOo.. Junk food! A kids' fave food :P]

- Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Five and Secret Seven are probably the thickest story ! books you ever thought you have read. Even SweetValley High. [ Enid Blyton was my fave then.. Short story fan here!]

- Catching was the IN thing and twist the magic word.

- Your English workbooks was made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow. [ Rmbr the PETS textbooks? We had to find the squirrel, bird, monkey and some other animals from inside the book..]

- Waterbottles were slinged around your neck and a must everywhere you go. [ Mum even knitted a water bottle holder thingy in white purple and pink for me but i never used it.. sorry mum!]

- Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the most important plants of our lives. [ahaha. true true]

- PE lessons always consists of girls playing Captain's Ball and boys playing soccer. [ Gosh the girls in my class LOVED Captain's Ball so much tt we got quite competitive. Oh and i learnt T-Ball in pri sch.. Cool game.]

- Every children's day and national day you either get pins or pens with 'Happy Children's Day 1993' or dumb files with Happy National Day 1994'.

- In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother. [ Yay i was a reading buddy. I can still rembr my reading buddy's face. Seen him around the neighbourhood. Dunno if he recognizes me.. Heh. His dad is kinds scary tho.. Fierce face he has.]

- Your form teacher taught you maths, science and english. [haha i rembered when i was caught eating those tape-type sweets in class.. Sold for 50cents in school canteen. Had to spit it out into the bin in front of the class. The weird thing was before i spat it out i saw tt the sweet had some brown brown thing on it.. haha.. random.]

- The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality. [cannot erase too hard]

- You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained, and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes. [yea my raincoat was yellow in color. heh. i soo love my mum for sending me to school everyday in lower primary and when it rains. *hugs and kisses*]

- There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday. [ i love English and spelling tests. Oh and dont forget dictation!]

- Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave you $3 or more for pocket money everyday. [Hmm.. i think i got only $1 per day.]

- You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl. [ ahaha i was one of the shortest girls but during the last pri classmates gathering i found out tt i am taller than some of them.. haha so happy la. cannot larf at me anymore hor..]

- Handkerchiefs were a must for both genders

- Collecting notebooks and all kinds of stationery was a popular thing. [ oOo.. and stickers too! Sailormoon.. lol]

- Autograph books were loaded with "Best Wishes", "Forget Me Not", and small poems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch. Friend like you, hard to forget".

- Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!"

- There were at least 40 people in one class.

- Large, colourful schoolbags were carried. [I always looked like i was struggling with mine coz i was small then..]

- You brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable. [haha. One of the reasons the schoolbags were large..]

yesterday me and my family went to our annual-before-puasa shopping at Malaysia. Woohoo i was sooo looking forward to that. Didnt go far just stayed and shopped at City Square. My mum wanted to got to Larkin to buy Dunkin Donuts but no go cuz i dun think we can shop much there. Dunkin Donuts are fuckalicious tho.. Jeez just thinking about those round sugared buns makes me drool..

City Square is THE place to shop. So many things to buy so little time :P.. yea coz dad had to go off to work after that. Reached the place at 10+ AM and had to leave by 4.20PM.. Like wtf la. Go makan already so long.. Only left what.. 4 hrs to shop? I definitely wanted to shop shop shop till i drop.. or at least till i use up all my money la.. haha. Shopping mode in overdrive u could say that.. Hoho i so love the top floor of City Square where all the nice teen shops are at- like Crossover, Silver Planet, Damaged and Radioactive. There was this one salesboy at Crossover and he was so cute with his emo hair.. Aarrgh. Yes i am such a sucker for SeenKids its embarassing- haha. Bought loads of cool stuff and to think i ONLY spent SG$150. Wish i had more time. Gosh then i'll be estatic.

It was weird tho cuz almost everything i saw i wanted to buy. Like it was an impulse buy but not an impulse buy at the same time. haha. Usually when something is an impulse buy the person regrets buying the thing the next morning.. But no such luck i am in love with my new stuffs espesh my new sweater.
Guess which brand? Hint: Youth Against Establishment. Dustin Dollin. Mark Appleyard.. Still not sure? Okay okay i'll spare u the suspense.. its VOLCOM!! WoOt. Hehe am so happy with the find but it wld have been better if the sweater was in L size instead of M. The baggier the better ar.. More comfy. Tried finding for the pics on the net but the site cant load the pics of the fleece sweaters- so nevermind la..

Oh and those who wanna buy shoes? The skate shoes sold there are all fakes. Well i'm 95% sure they are anyway.. hehe. But most of the designs are wayy cool. If u're on a budget go la but i've warned ya the shoes wont last long. Crossover- the sister (or is it the brother shop? i didnt check i dunno.. lolx. How the hell do u check for a shop's gender anyways) shop have true blue genuine shoes tho. And realll nice ones at that. Hmm shoes could be next on my list after backpack ar.. Maybe i'll bring my bros out soon to go buy bags- dah koyal rabak pun masih nak pakai seh.. Kecian. HAHA i still remember that time near the school fountain cum pool me and mich were gossiping about this one cool guy in school- too bad his bag was those bags that u see apeks wearing. No i mean seriously those small as fuck backpacks u wear high on ur back.. So friggin ironic la. Like that might as well carry ur books around in an NTUC plastic bag. Patriotic sikit.. LOL. Thank goodness he bought a new bag already. And this bag is much much better. [Wanna know the brand? Its the same category as oil and kerosene. Hoho]

Cat Lovers Inc.

Whoa. Exams are officially.... O. V. E. R!! Yessssaaahh!

So i have approximately 4 days to enjoy myself before clinical attachment sweeps me off to Tired-As-Fark-Go-Home-Can-Do-Nothing-Else-But Sleep-The_Rest-of-The Day-land.. :P
I have 3 weeks at SGH. Then 2 (*sheds a tear* yes only blardy two) weeks of vacation of which the second week start puasa already.. Darn it. Pathetic huh? Then after that 2 weeks of 'break' i have another 2 weeks of attachment. At SGH Obstetric ward and also at *jeng jeng jeng..* IMH!! muahahaha Yay can get to meet all my fans. LOL
Guess i'm more or less ready for the attachments. We need the experience before the big PRCP. Moreover i have nothing to do at home except house chores and logging on the interNET all day long..

Last year, two days before raya someone disowned a kitten. Then my sis, who was gonna get married and move to her own house, wanted a cat to keep her company at home. So she talked to that kid into giving her that kitten- All black with a white patch on the chest. Then a few hours later we heard pitiful mews underneath the block. I went downstairs and took home another all black cat. Seems like we adopted cat sisters! The first one was younger; so the adik la. Yours truly got to name the kittens- Mono and Stereo it is then! hehe. cool eh

Stereo refused to eat for 2 days- somemore my exam season la, cannot really concentrate cuz worried. Now they are back to their crazy self- running around the house chasing each other. Wrestling. Hah that time they nearly ran into my mum while she was carrying something hot. Made her shout like Tarzan. But Mono's wound kinda got loose or something. There's like a hole there with pus coming out. Darn it i think we have to visit the vet again. I wanted to take a pic of it but it looks very uh. vulgar? pornographic? why? coz i looks like a *****.. yes the one that goes meow. no really. *looks arounds* hope i dont get reported for this.. LOL

oh and my sis decided not to take them both in the end. she took home a kitten at geylang while searching for chendol. guess what she named her? Chendol! haha very creative huh? * rolls eyes* then she also adopted another kitty from Cat Welfare or something. Haven't been named but the cat is oh so scared of people. Doesn't trust humans. So my sis has got her hands full with the 2 new kittens. THAT means Mono and Stereo are staying with us. GOOD. mum and dad who were a bit apprehensive at first also seem to not want to let them go. Mono and Stereo- the first (two) house cats. Usually most of my other cats are the bed-and-breakfast kind. House cats= toilet trained cats => toilet tt smells like cat piss. no larfing matter. Jeez.

This is what always happens when i wake up every morning:
Take towel and other toiletries. Groggily head over to toilet in kitchen. Try not to bang onto the chairs on the way to toilet. *sounds of cat collar bells* Braces self against the wall. So cats manage to outrun me into the toilet. Fine. They go toilet drink water nevermind.. Alamak this two go to the toilet and do their business right before i take my shower la. Which means i have to bathe in a bathroom tt reeks of fresh poo and piss.. --The trials and tribulations of an Ailurophile i guess.

Hells yea. I am all done with my assignments and assessments like BCLS [which stands for Basic Cardiac Life Support- this means technically i am certified to do CPR on any unconscious/-uh pulse-less stranger tt faints in a train. hope nothing of tt sort happens tho but i'll be ready].. Now i'm left with 3 modules for my exams. Only 3 - Bio, Medical-Surgical Nursing and Pediatrics Nursing yay! Last year we had like 5 or 6 modules. Hope this doesn't mean that they push all the rest of our modules in the second semester ~ then i'm lyk getting all happy and shyte for nothing la..

Ugh i think i'm falling ill. Aww now dont take out ur pens to write Get-Well-Soon cards for me yet though.. Its only a minor flu. I have a runny [more of jogging ar. not running.. :P] nose.. I also keep sneezing a whole lot and in that process, making the people around me jump coz of the sudden urge of the virus in my nose to fly out and cling to others and infect them so that they can eventually rule the world. Ahaha. Sounds evilly-dirrty huh? Hope i get well in time for the exams. First paper's on 17th August. You know how annoying it is to have someone sniffling next to you when you're raking your-already-full-of-useless-crap-that-you-might-or-might-not-use-in-the-near-future-..uh brain to come up with 'What are some of the clinical manifestations of the Kwashiorkor disease?' or something along that lines.. haha and i sure dun wanna be that person that others are silently swearing under their breaths at. And not to mention the amount of tissues i have to lug around. Right now i'm using the tissues from the countless tissue boxes we uh salvaged from my sister's wedding.

It has been awhile so i thot i'll hit you up with an update.. Yesterday was the Sugarfree *cue someone yodeling in the snowy mountains~ RI-COLA!* GIG in nyp. It was awesome with many grreat bands playing. I really expected there to be more moshing but there weren't many people willing to get hurt -uh i mean moshers in the crowd. It could be partly coz most of the energetic moshers were big-sized. If you ran straight into them i swear you'll bloody bounce right back into the black-plastic-lined walls. I particularly enjoyed the screamo bands like the one that played Alexisonfire's 'Accidents' [ i dunno the band name ar] and 4th Avenue. They sound real professional in the screaming section. The all-girl band Jinx play well and i love the Distillers songs they played. Rock on grrl power!!
Oh and i love that other band where they have the bassist in braids. Funny guys. Damn they play real fast and nice rhythms too.

Loads of scene kids came down but the place was only like half-filled uh maybe one-fourth filled. Not good response eh? Nevertheless i enjoyed myself immensely, watching the bands perform and the moshers beating each other up. hah

29th July 06

Today me and my family minus dad and big bro plus bro-in-law, Abg Zaid, went for the NDP preview. Damn hott day it was. This year's parade is so-so. The vibe just wasn't there. The audience didn't even stand up when the limo carrying the supposed-VIP came past. Tak semangat memang. I think it was bcoz the emcees suddenly disappeared and we spoonfed Singaporeans need someone to kick us in the ass and tell us what we need to effing do. Like stand up and scream for instance. Or clap with the clapper thingy. Lol my little brothers clapped that plastic thing too hard tt it bcame 'pancit'. My youngest bro, Teruna Suffian decided to make ballon animals with the pancit clapper instead. haha. In the end i was the semangat one who kept dancing along to the NDP songs.. haha. Fun la.

The fireworks display were also quite disappointing even tho i believe they made it closer to the audience section. But this could be bcoz its only the preview. Dunno ar. Just wait and see. Hope its not so disappointing la. Sad huh? Last NDP at Kallang Stadium and the parade's as crappy as this.. Damn someone needs to be blamed.. :'( *looks around*

Grapes In The Freezer

On a friggin rubbish bin in the toilet. Eww.. lol. Was having stomachache and this quote caught my eye. Like how the hell does a rubbish bin make ur life more rational? Simple shmaybe but rational? hmm can trash make u go crazy?

Ouh bought some Vienetta ice cream for my big bro's birthday on 13th July and a big bunch of grapes for my lil bro coz he wanted to eat some. Went home and mum said that the fridge was full. Opened the door and nearly couldn't close it back. Then i blur blur go and put both the icecream AND grapes into the freezer (which is meant for keeping fish and stuff like ice cubes) which had space. Next morning, i found the grapes all rotten and brown. Eff la i paid 7 bucks for the fruit and now it can't even be eaten. So lesson learnt, NEVER put ur grapes into the freezer.. :P

Baybeats started yesterday. Thought i could go downtown to watch Ingride but came home at around 6pm. Went to Little India to eat puri with Dash and buy some face mask after last day of attachment at KKH. Gonna miss the lil buggers.. lol. 2 weeks. Just when i was getting along fine with the staff nurses at my ward.. Was waayy too tired to even stand straight. Felt like fainting. Shmaybe not enuf sleep. Wonder what might happen if i still went to watch the event.. Well sorry Ingride i can't witness ur rock awesome-nessity. For now. Till next time then.

Like wtf la. I have been having this hair since sec 3. Looong before SI 2006.. So i am not copying his hairstyle. Its just that we have the same taste in music.. Geez. *Grapes: Green small ones are the best! Whenever i go to NTUC i have to buy some. They're like calling me or something..

Washed-up Wishes

hey hey been awhile huh since i blogged. yesterday i treated my family, with the exception of my big sis (cuz she dun wanna share.. hrrmmph), to lunch at Seoul Garden at AMK. As a birfday present/treat for my mum. HAPPY BITHDAY MUM!! i heart you so much! muahx

It was the first time for everyone except me. I went there before with the peeps from NYP guitar club as a post concert celebration thingy. Haha i was the last one to surrender. Even my big brother gave up eating early. Damn the food was delicious. What with all the seafood and icecream. Mum was so paranoid. She was so scared the ppl were gonna kick us out of the place. gosh we only stayed there for 2 hrs la. Last time we stayed for like 5 hrs and had this silly wasabi icecream fruit daring game and made a lot of noise. Tak kena tendang keluar pun.. oh ya and my big bro was so full he couldn't think straight- Wasabi became wasiwa. Caramelized became camere..uhwhatever. LOL then he started singing along with the radio. ALOUD like some retard idol wannabe.. ~jk.. had a good time larfing and making fools of ourselves. Wish we stayed longer tho but my dad had to go off for work. Night shift and he didnt get enuf sleep. Stay up all night watch soccer somemore la. hehe one hour 50 minutes more till the final match between Italy and France.

World Cup this yr is kinda depressing not like 4 yrs back. Firstly cuz of the time. Then the passion and drive usually shown by the players are missing. Just look at Brazil. gosh. Mich was telling me abt some underhand dealings. In one match the referee booked a red card to the person who fell instead of the one whole tackled. Like wtf la. Then tt guy got the cheek to pat the ref on the back.. haha what has the world come to?

anyway Baybeats is this friday to sunday 14- 16th july. i wanna go but i have no one to go with.. anyone out there wanna take me? *cue Franz Ferd song*

heh i have nothing better to do right now. Just finished watching 'Hi My Name is Earl.' Funny show with all the talk about karma and such. Personally, i dont believe in karma. What goes around comes around shyte. The balance in this world is seriously screwed up. Some people get to do stupid evil stuff and yet they live a life of riches. I know of real nice people who suffer so much in their life and i pity them so. They have to suffer blow after blow and things still don't change for the better. It is so not fair. My life and the problems it entails are nothing compared to what they have to go through.

at least i can rest well knowing that since karma is non-existent, at least there's such a thing called :heaven and hell.

Since we're kinda at the topic of teevee shows, let's go through some of these programmes on the tube:

Boston Public- a good show abt school tt they no longer show anymore. damn. i still remember vividly one episode where there was a fight between two school kids and one of them bit the earlobe bit of the other kid ala Mike Tyson. Then the monkey-faced vice principal came to stop the fight and the kid spit the tiny earlobe bit onto his forehead. And it bloody STUCK there!! cool lol

Charmed- was good the first few seasons. now getting monotonous tho it is not as lame as Superman [ read below]

Criminal Minds- oOo.. new show. every episode has a different theme. so far its copycat bombers, arsonists, obsessive compulsive disorder and the latest episode i didn't manage to watch. I love these kind of shows. Makes u think.

CSI: Las Vegas- yea one of my all-time fave late night shows. Just love the whole forensic science idea. But i feel its kind of stupid when i watch shows like Law And Order or something similar and they act as tho there was no crime scene investigations that could be done to help solve the case and then *poof!* here we have a show that shows the wonders of forensic science. I wanna be something like that one day but it seems that Singapore has yet to venture into forensic science. hmm forensic science nursing? Has a nice ring to it don't it? :p

Desperate Housewives- okay show that has a very winding plot tt manages to captivate its viewers. Not to mention Eva Longoria is sooo pretty! But i'm willing to skip this to do other stuff..

Grey's Anatomy- woot i love this show. firstly maybe coz its in a hospital setting. the show is also quite funny and touching at the same time. you get 'attached' to a patient then the next thing u know they end up dead on the surgery table. A must watch for me.

Lost- oh this is one shitty show. i sooo dont watch this show and i have absolutely no idea why the hell they won what awards la for this piece of crap. they have wayy too many recaps and stuff. damn bloody confusing if u miss one episode. so i juz forgo the whole goddamn thing.. HAH

Scrubs- why Oh why are all the great shows only 30 minutes long? Another great example is 'Who's Line Is It Anyway?' which is like everyone's fave show.. [haha just go and check out people's Friendster profile under Fave shows:.. Second most common could be Viva La Bam or Spongebob Squarepants. Yay Spongebob and Patrick!]

Superman- first season is okay. then it gets r-e-a-l monotonous even tho the characters aka villians keep changing. okay here's a typical Superman episode: Teen kena contact with kryptonite. Teen gains superpowers and takes advantage of powers. Teen attacks school or one of Clarke's love interest. Zoom to fight scene: Love interest or the week's lucky character focus faints right before battle. Damn she lost her chance to see Clarke use his superpowers yet AGAIN. *fight* Villian goes down. *badaBOOM or insert other sound effects here.* Love interest wakes up just after the villain gets beaten to a pulp. Aww damn. Superman is successful yet again at keeping his identity a bloody secret. Repeat repeat rep.. bleh Tom Welling's still cute tho. heh

‘ Last day’ of school today. We had 2 weeks of break, then one week of school. Now its 3 weeks of attachment and then back to school again. Then comes the dreaded exams and onwards to the hospital we go.. Tiring huh? Confusing too.. But wth we need all the experience we can get..

Next week I’m going to KK Hospital for 2 weeks.. Feeling kinda nervous, eh hope the staff are nice.. Am not too good with kids.. hehe see how it goes. Bought new nursing shoes with mum at Geylang. Got Sleese cause they didn’t have Kappa in my size. Seems that both Mich and Dash are also planning to buy sport shoes for attachment. I think ar sooner or later every student is gonna be wearing black sport shoes. Definitely due to the fact that the recommended shoes (like those black auntie shoes from BATA) are killing our feet. Let me count the ways: they r tight, make our feet stink (espesh during morning shift where we have to bathe the patient and the water goes into the shoes and u have no choice but to walk around in wet, squelching, uncomfortable shoes the whole day acK), wear and tear easy, makes the skin of my precious feet peel and not to mention r soooo unflattering :P

Okay let's set the events correct chronologically:

9th June 2006

Last day of school. Both a good and a bad thing. On one hand, we get to relax and be free from the burden called homework and responsibilty (as a student) *yay!*. On the other hand, i'm gonna miss the larf-ter and fun shared with my crazy freaky friends. (yea 2 freaks + 1 ass= retards ~yea we rock!)

School ended early coz there was no elective for today. Me and mich went to Far East Plaza to shop for clothes. Then we rushed back to school to watch Bandzout 06/07. It was fun but the vibe was kinda mellow. Shmaybe its coz there was no moshing done.. Loads of great bands played and some singers can really scream.. Like the second last band that played (i have no idea what the name of the band was.. shmaybe coz of the fact that the event was done in the open and the sound system was a bit off. The cute punk-ish host helped move things along tho.. *koff*
haha over all i enjoyed myself and am looking forward for next year's Bandzout.. waa left only one year left in NYP.. damn

11th June 2006

Today is my big sis's, Suriawati, wedding day!! Omg. haha yes i'm getting my own room but enuf about that lets get down to the lovely ceremony. Gosh i soooo love the decorations they made at the void deck. No i'm not being biased just coz it's my sista's wedding. The flowers and deco were so friggin gorgeous. fullstop. Just ask Yana (my cousin). Some secondary school and current poly schoolmates came to celebrate the joyous occasion. I'll post the pics here later on coz now the photobucket site is down.. So watch this space! hehe

Damn busy day it was. I'll like to thank everyone who helped out today including all my aunts and uncles and cousins and neighbours! Thanks for making the event a success. It's been causing my mum sleepless nights planning the wedding and making arrangements.. Yay and let's welcome my new brother-in-law, Zaid Bin Hj Md. Ilyas, into the family *insert trumpet fan fare and appropriate welcoming sound here*.. *oh and some confetti thrown around too* :P i have yet to meet his family members other then his mum, dad and lil bro..

16th June 2006

Went karaoke-ing at Clarke Quay with nursing mates- Fitriah, Yanti, Hidzir, Ilyana, Cik Tina and her 2 daughters. Second time going to karaoke. First time was with Desrie, Ying Xian, Khai Jiun and Chun Shu to K Box at Hougang Plaza. Haha good times. Chun Shu and me sang Linkin Park songs till i had sore throat for 2 weeks.. Lol but then again i'm always prone to sore throats.. and Des and YX have such a talent for singing chinese songs. Espesh Jay Chou and Jolin's songs.. and remember when we tried to sing the BeeGees song? we ended up laughing throughtout the whole song coz the pitch was wayyy too high.. Sigh i miss the good ol times..

Clarke Quay Cash Studio has loads of great English songs. Which is a definite plus since i am so not a Malay song kinda person. haha not to mention Hindustani songs.. i only know parts of the chorus.. lol. Shmaybe i'll go there again with my family or friends. Cheap rates too and u can bring ur own food.. not like K Box--> too little Eng songs, expensive and have to buy a set lunch which i cannot eat coz its not halal. Bleh

After karaoke-ing we sent Ilyana off to work and headed to the east in search for food and coffee (oOo Tea Leaf..). Haha had loads of fun today. Hope we'll do this again sometime..

Drained Euphoric

yea today i have guitar club practice as per normal at 6.30pm so i have to pass the time doing something.. Thot i'll write something. Have not been blogging regularly but then again i don't blog regularly so yea.. Haha.
In the afternoon we watched Mich perform but i missed her fashion show catwalk thing.. Damn. Heard she did some crazy hair fling. Even the uh uncle that was selling the German ( or is it Dutch? oOps) ice cream commented. Said it was sexy and funny.. Hahax hear that Mich even he agrees you're hott! :p So u have to stop thinking otherwise..

Mood: Euphoric but tired as f***,
- Euphoric coz i just finished all my class tests and my ICA projects. First group to present so was stressed for the first 7 weeks and such but now i'm FREE!! Muahaha.. I can just about scream for joy in the computer lab but well i dun wanna attract attention.. Have already made it 'noisy' by listening to my CD loudly.. Haha.. More abt tt later..

- Tired coz had to stay up to cram for my tests.. Haha. Bad habit/ practice i know but i am a last-minute-study person.. Cant frigging bring myself to study earlier.. Lazy eh

Some totally random stuff that i have lying around in my cranium:

- In NYP Food Junction. Not sure which stall exactly but maybe its fourth stall from the left, the sign on top of the stall has the word Aiden on it.. Aiden is an emo-gothic band. All of them wear gothic makeup complete with bleeding mascara kinda like Avenged Sevenfold.. But i find that their songs are like loud and fast throughout.. which is totally different from most emo bands. Not bad ar but not really a fave band. Their music video for Die Romantic is not bad tho.. Nice props and atmosphere.. So vampir-ey. Lol. But mcR wins hands down for best vampir-ey video (Vampires Will Never Hurt You).. Fall Out Boy's vampire-related video for A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch is lame tho.. Damn that reminds me it has been awhile since i went music video surfing.. Kinda crave for it now..

- I'm probably not the first one who've seen this but when walking to the Sports Hall the long way (walking along the campus child care center side)-- i noticed they had this poster in the child care center of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. haha and i so luv Silverstein. Its been said that the band chose the author's surname to be their band name coz they love his book so much.. Hmm. Sweet huh but its a goddamn children's book..

Darkened Eyes Break Hearts

Yesterday night while watching Scary Movie 4 at home. Received an sms from Hailwa: "Girl.. Gt watch idol? E paul look like u lah.. Only u darker.. Hee.. He's in nyp sbm.. Freshie" *jaw drops* my first reaction was to scream. i think i shrieked like 6 times before i smsed her back in disbelief.. She said he was already in like in April 2006 but i swear i have never seen him around. Not even a word spoken or gossip passed about him being in NYP. I mean its friggin impossible ar.. 3 months already and NYP is not THAT big a school.. Haha see how it goes. Maybe he is in NYP and maybe not.. hmm yea come to think of it, he is 17- so he has to be in either JC or poly.. and he looks like a business student.. yea one thing's for sure.. he has a nice voice.. and he acts crazy at times, which is kinda endearing :P haha

oOo.. Friday night was Jam & Hop 2006. It was fun but it would have been more fun if there were more people who attended the event.. Organisers did an okay job i guess. Ya know what i still kinda preferred last year's Jam&Hop. The songs were better and the vibe was uh lost-lasting. Still felt like dancing hours after the event. Oh and this year they had a live band. Great job! During some songs, particularly Only One by Yellowcard, moshing occured. yea it was cool to watch and in such close proximity too.. Michelle performed 'Buttons', a damn sexy dance' with her Foreign Bodies friends. Great performance there. Too bad the camera ran out of battery.. But i think we still managed to take one group pic at the end of the event. Yea have to wait for Fitriah to send it to me..

They should also let the event drag on longer. It felt as if the event was too short. Haha got one part they played the Numa Numa song.. Like wtf? how the hell do u dance to that one? so they formed a chain when the song was going on.. Last year they had to shoo us away by playing techno songs at the end of the event but this year was kinda abrupt coz they just stopped the music and told us to go home (but in a nice way, mind you).. Lol

Well then i guess we have one more event to look forward to.. Next Friday. Amphitheatre (the white dome-shaped thingy beside our school field). 5pm till late. BandzOut 2006/2007. Hells yea. Last year's BandzOut kicked ass man. Page Avenue won. The lead singer sure screams nice. They played Anthem Of Our Dying Day by Story Of The Year.
Oh and i loved it when the emcee sang (screamed more like) two songs with a malay guy. Shit that was dope. Lol.. Gosh i soo luv screamo. Hmm hope to hear him sing again this coming Friday. Fingers crossed. Hmm i wonder if anyone can carry off any of Underoath's songs? Then i'll be their devoted fan.. Lol.. Spencer's screams are kinda hard to replicate..

And before i go cram for my bio practical (yes, bleh) this coming Wednesday, i wanna suggest one competition that our school could organise..
-Creativity plays a big role.
-Consists more of acting than music skills.
-Should be conducted indoors
- One thing for sure: It is gonna be a helluva lot of fun.

So what's this event you ask? Well first of all i'm sure you guys know what is playing the air guitar is right? if not, i'll let Mr. Gerard Way show you how it's done..

Whoa.. Its like 1.30 in the morning, on a school day somemore. Heh tomorrow's [or today if u insist] someone's gonna be sleeping in the lecture hall. haha i wonder who.. *ponders* Hmm i just feel like writing down some things in my blog. Like how much i'm loving the band Showbread!! Especially their song Mouth Like A Magazine. U guys have to check out the video on my Friendster profile.. Or just find it on Youtube.. The song is danceable and moshable yet loud enough to be called rock.. Raw rock more like as the band prefers to call their genre raw rock.. Everytime before i log out of Fster i will watch both videos until i settle my music vid craving.. :p




Hmm yea on to the topic of guys.. Basically i'm a shy kid. But there are times when i am high on happiness juice or if i'm around my crazy frens i will get over this shy thingy.. but more often then not i am a quiet girl.. Just ask my primary schoolmates.. I'm like friggin invisible sometimes.. Good thing i got over that quiet phase. I'm more vocal nowadays thanks to my friends and my past job that teaches me to approach and talk to strangers [heck no i dun sell drugs.. lol. its more of charity work. heh so guai]. Oh ya and i get more shy around Malay guys coz i dun have the uh experience or *insert word here*..
yea this could be due to the fact that i dun have malay guys as classmates in Primary 5 and 6.. I get along just fine with Chinese and Indian guys.. Weird huh?

And i find nowadays that i am able to do stuff that i normally won't do last time.. Well this may sound stoopid but this is my blog so i can write anything i want so nyeh! *sticks tongue out* lol
Well there was the primary school reunion outing to Sentosa, the Jam And Hop 2005, going on camera [for like 1/2 a minute or something] for Hailwa's project and stuff like that. See i told ya i was going OVER the quiet-could-be-a-serial-killer phase hah. but i still wanna be more outgoing.. slowly arh..
