Band auditions was yesterday. It was nervewrecking but still very fun. Thank god the judges weren't those mean and strict kind who'll bite off our heads at every mistake. Comments they gave us were guitar was too soft; need to tune up a bit more cuz the solo couldn't be heard. OMG and Zim had to stay up to learn the solos in like two friggindays. Then they said vocals should be cleaned up abit. Bass and drums are tight but can be tighter. But the good comments they gave us were: Looove the outfit! Good stage presence. Love the dancing~! [ great job ppl! maybe we shld think abt joining the DanceFloor eh? :P]

we were packing up to leave and was abt to leave the jamming studio when one of the judges said.. 'Good job you guys. But when you get to the finals you should polish up on Stand By Me.. The blablablabla...' OMG those were the magic words. WHEN WE GET TO THE FINALS~

Wish we had recorded the judges' comments so we could contemplate what we heard and what we did not hear.. hmm but its disappointing to know that out of the eleven bands that registered there was only seven that turned up for auditions. And they are choosing six bands to play for finals.. DARN i dun wanna win by default. That's like damn pathetic sia.. ugh. Dunno if they'll change the rules or line up and stuff. We'll just wait and see. The results come out next week!!!

Okay time to talk about ME!
Most of you guys wouldn't have known about this but i just had an ear surgery. Its a minor ear surgery to patch up the hole in my ear drum. I learnt in school that these kinda hole usually heal on their own but this particular one is kinda stubborn. Been 3 weeks still it didnt heal so a surgery was to be scheduled. I forgot the medical term something-plasty eh. HAHA paiseh~ The person who wrote it down also got some problem with the handwriting. LOL cannot read properly ar..

Anyway it was a heck of an experience! I was already lying on the surgery table awaiting the anesthetic nurse to put me to sleep. Then the mask was on my face. Had to breathe in the sleeping gas.. Skali they injected one effingpainfulashell medication into my I/V site. Sialah~ The pain spread all the way up my left arm like wildfire!
I quickly inhaled the sleeping gas as if i was deprived of oxygen and also as it was the only thing that could keep the pain away.

Had to stay overnight for one night with the bandage on my head like a wannabe Ninja Turtle. Face swollen and feeling drowsy. Ugh. Then the next day was discharged and doctor cut away the bandages. Went home straight via taxi. It was then that i got to see my stitches in all its GLORY. Like WTH?! eeeeeeeeeeeee so gory la. Purple color stitches all the way down my left ear. Now i have trouble hearing cuz its still swollen.

Eff i have trouble even to feel my ears la. So numb. I keep telling ppl i feel like Ms Potato Head like my ear is gonna drop off anytime i jump around or move too much. I'm so scared cuz now is the second day and i still cant feel my ear properly. I dunno if this is a common side effect. Mummy i need my ears~ Dun wanna go deaf :'(
So far not much pain just deafness and a bit uncomfortable. Hope i can regain it fast.. In time for BandzOut 2007.

I soo did enjoy my holidays! And it's not even the end of the first week of school.. I've mentioned about the gigs that have been going on during the hols. Too bad i was not able to go to Anberlin's concert and to Rock The Sub. All was not lost though cuz i finally got to meet the guys of Valentine's Letter. Had so much funn.. The guys are such jokers. Hope we get to meet soon. I want proper pictures of you guys~

Went home at around twelve to one AM. Had to sleep in to be able to wake up for Camp Guitare and chalet the next day. That is why it took so damn long for me to upload the videos and pictures.. Sorry guys. Youtube is being an ASS to me too. What with the superWOLS server i own. Rrr.

Its 1:33 in the AM and i am pooped! Had NAPFA just now and i am oh-so-not happy with my results. Only managed to scrape by with a BRONZE. Ugh my inclined pull-up was only a pathetic 6. Can't blardy believe it.. After the whole thing i felt kinda disappointed with myself but well guess i should have trained harder. My fault~ Everyone say it with me: DAMN YOU SU!

Which brings me to the next issue: BUSY BUSY BUSY!
Yes just like the song by The Fray that is playing on my WMP right now.. 'Everyone knows I'm in over my head, over my head..' But the only problem is the 'everyone' part cuz it seems like many people do not know how much work i hafta do now. Half a year and all the ICAs are piled up together. Being the subgroup leader for all 6 modules doesn't help either. That and being VP for NYPGuitarClub. Someone run me down with a sharp object.. PLEASE!
This problem was really biting into me like no one's business till i broke down one Friday. What do you take me for? A robot? Well i guess this robot has had enough..

Sayang managed to calm my sorrows and help me think straight. Thanks a lot dear. You don't know how much it means to me.. I can never say this enough. I AM SO GLAD I MET YOU!
Well the answer to this problem is that i have to prioritise my time properly. And like Jeremy said, TIME MANAGEMENT is everything~ Wish i had that skill though.. heh

Have officially been bitten by the Korean bug. Lately there's been a craze going round of girls watching Korean dramas and such. Particularly this one girl called Hailwa. Been crazy about Rain for godknowshowlong. She and her Full House drama. Damn i wanted to watch the I Am A Cyborg but I'm Okay or something but the movie wasn't showing by the time we got round to seeing it.. She had this clip on her blog of Xiah from DBSK imitating Rain and of Heechul dancing to Rain's song. Farnie as hell. And to think these were my first exposure, my introduction to the little part of the world known as Korea.

Sayang had already started watching Super Junior- Full House when she told me about it. So one day while supposed to be finding stuff for my ICA i decided to take a rest and hop over to Youtube.com. Typed in Super Junior and the search came out with loads of different videos. Randomly picked a show. It was Episode 6- the Taekkyon martial arts lesson [with Eng subtitles of cuz]. Something about them wearing the Taekkyon suit attracted me to the clip so i watched it. After the first puff, i was HOOKED. .-line and sinker

3 BIG events just went past in a span of just 4 days: Club Crawl 2007, Jam N Hop 2007 and our NYPGC Freshmen Orientation 2007.

Club Crawl was okay. We had 215 people signing up at our booth. Mostly are for enrichment courses but we are gonna work hard to convince them to stay with the club after the course ends. Guitar Club is funn~ Trust me! Hehe.
For Club Crawl this year we wanted to make a giant guitar. And so we DID!

It is approximately 2.7 times bigger than a normal guitar. Had fun making the damn thing. But it was already coming apart near the end of Day One. By Day Two it was unfixable! And so we took it down for a rest. It ended up in the bin at the end of Day Two, which was kinda slow cuz not many freshies came to the Sports Hall. Ugh should have taken more pictures of our GIANT guitar.. We could have done better with the banner though. Poster was uber cool with electric guitars all over. Thanks Syarah! I think that poster might have pulled in a number of people and made them interested. Ouh and performance-wise; Erika, Marcus and Elton did a good job by representing GC. Thanx guys!

Thanks to all of those who have helped out with the decor, set-up, promoting.. whole event actually. Yeahh~ I'mma happy with the result(:

Jam N Hop was fun! They had a live band playing. Whoa the bass, guitars and drums were nice though the singing could have been improved. Oh and Michelle won Best Dancer. You GO GIRL! haha. Finally. A new MP3 eh? I 'm sooo gonna send u my songs.. Alesana wheeeeee~
Yes and there were many DDG freshmen. Its me and Sayang's code for Drop Dead Gorgeous btw. LOL~

NYPGC Orientation 2007
Yeahh~ am really happy with the results of the event. Thanks to Kenneth C for the vision he had to have the Orientation in the TFA. We had a mini concert kinda thing. Was real informal and the impromptu emcees rocked the house! Thanks so much Joe and Mark. Thanks to all who came to help out and congrats to all performers. All of u just earned one CCA point! LOL
Though it was a bit hurried with the auditions and guitar reservations.. Everyone was so pooped and busy that we weren't able to go out after the event. Last year we went ice-skating right aft Orientation. But dun fret guys we are gonna plan an outing real soon for all of us to bond together and enjoy ourself~~ I need destressing. STAT!

Just thought i cld squeeze in one entry before i head off to sleep.
Well first of all i wanna talk abt all this mix up with emo and stuff. I mean just the other day a friend was watching a clip and commenting how 'emo' Britney looked being all cooped up or something i forgot. But it infuriates me how he can use the word 'emo' and 'Britney' all in one sentence. Damn i hate that lady uh. And u can stop with ur showing off cuz it wont work~ HAH

whatevs. i'm just letting off steam~

Nowadays many ppl are using the word 'emo' too loosely. Like "Aww.. He looks sad. He's acting so 'emo'. Cheer up kid noone's dying.. Or "No uh she's not emo cuz she's too happy. You're more moody so you MUST be more 'emo' than her." Like WTF. These things seem like small things but it still gets on my nerves uh~

Then my fren did something tt really pissed me off. I was listening to my songs out loud on my phone [Dead Language by Vanna]. Being a man with 'superior taste in music' he hates all punk songs and stuff.. Then he started strumming haphazardly while singing "I'm emo i'm mad. I'm emo i'm sad sad. i wanna kill ppl.." Those kind of stupid things. ARGH i just felt like screaming in his face to STFU but being the nice girl that i am, i put my bag down and stayed away for a few minutes. I mean DUDE! this is MY genre. MY fave music. You have no right to say bad things abt my fave kind of music. Think before you talk. You would like it if i made fun of what u love will you? I'll rather u just smack my phone silent or break it or whatever rather than say those stupid shit ~

If u don't know anything abt the genre. Then be quiet. You're hurting others who are in love with it.

Sorry readers but i couldn't stand it anymore. I have to blurt it out some where some time..

yes and i so miss going to gigs at Gashaus. The other time i went gigs like every week for 3 weeks straight uh. Now i'm having serious withdrawal symptoms.. Moshing or just watching ppl mosh in a darkened room full of ppl who love what i love might keep my mind off things.. takemeout~

Band session as in practice unplugged kinda thing. W/o the electric guitars. Faisal had to improvise with the high chair and cowbells. But it sounded great still~

Ahh the perks of being vice president. LOL shhh. We didn't mess up the room if that's what you're worried about. But we did some prancing about the room and headbanging and basically enjoying the music.. Then suddenly a familiar tune came up: 'Hey there. I know it's hard to feel..' Zim our bassist/guitarist quickly 'angkat kaki jalan' la dey~
Haha for those who are confused, he kicked up his heels and got the hell out of the room. Being crazy jerks that we are [LOL], we opened the door and sang the song out loud [serenade more like.. haha] to him outside the room. Chasing and singing. Damn it was funn~

movie fest beb.
Mr Bean's Holiday with my little brothers [mum didn't want to come. was very tired she said..] but we enjoyed ourselves very much. Went to Bishan in the evening to watch after they came back from school. Didn't know my bros were so horny seeing women in low neck tees. I laughed out loud one to many times in Long John and the cinema. HAHA. real fun~
but we went back home and got an earful. parents didn't approve of me bringing them out on a school night. Won't happen again! *fingers crossed* but sat and sunday rates are expensive la~

Watched The History Boys with Hailwa. Didn't enjoy it much cuz the movie was abt gays and stuff. Touchy subject la. And her mum was angry with her and wanted her to be home fast. So we kinda rushed and stuff.. Oooo but the dude has a realllly nice voice and he sings well along with the piano. i loved the skit part abt the brothel and German hospital. Funny la. Sad that the mods scene kid had to die..

Freedom Writers rocks! I like the angmoh quiet kid's character. Hehe. Nice nice hair! The movie was great. Abt gang fights and racialism in the US. How true it still exists a bit nowadays.. I so want to read/borrow/buy/own the book: The Freedom Writers. Can't find it anywhere in the library. A must watch like 300!

Watched TMNT with Hailwa and Farhan. Haha the movie wasnt all that nice. Maybe cuz i wanted to watch something with more meaning. Something that will make me think.. Like the Number 23 or something along that lines. Brought back sweet childhood memories though~ Cowabunga dudes!

Its been a busy busy week both with guitar practices and movie marathons. So far i've watched 300 with Dash and The History Boys with Hailwa. Planning to watch Stomp The Yard with Dash and Mich soon; Mr Bean with my brothers and mum. Cant wait cant wait~ I'm A Cyborg.. seems nice so i might watch it with Hailwa again. She's CRAZEE over Rain it seems. LOL idol worship to the max beb. Me? I don't think i have an idol to worship just loads of role models in life like my parents and friends. Sometimes i even wish i was like my cats. So can slack all day- play eat sleep, play eat sleep REPEAT~ Wahaha

Ohh speaking of cats, i might name the new kid, Nekokyu 300. LOL three-hund-red. 3 syllables is wayy too long. Need more time to rethink. Wahaha.

The movie was awesome btw. A must watch for all war movie fans. Omggg it was hott bodies galore~ Feast for the eyes for us girls :D But guys do not fret there's an erotic bra-less Oracle dance and a 3 minute long sex scene for u to linger over :x geez

Waaa~ But the cutest and youngest warrior Astinos got beheaded. They should have put more sad scenes in the movie cuz this one is very very testosterone driven. LOVE the battle scenes and Spartan's fight tactics. Are our soldiers as prepared to fight and die for the country? These warriors are diehard Spartan patriots.

Well ever since i heard the song i thought the lead sounds like those cool indie British angmohs but when i saw the video.. Gosh i was blown away! The lead vox is Asian. Effing cool voice he has. He looks a lot like my schoolmate Nazrul. In fact i'm gonna ask him to check out John Balicanta. Could be a long lost cousin! Wooot~ goshgoshgosh

One more day till attachments end! Feel kind of happy cuz i can stay up late with no obligations for one whole month. But i too feel sad cuz i really love working in the ward that i have been working in. The staff are great and the workload is okay for us students. We still do our basic routine parameters and still get to practise some of the 'harder skills' or some skills that need more experience like dressing and NG tube insertion. I'm sooo gonna miss the nurses there. Might consider working there in the future too~ Hehx

Wow! March movies are killing me! There's oh-so-many cool movies in the theatres. No idea how many i'm gonna catch. Let's name them:

Half Nelson
-Omfg this movie got a 5 star rating! The other time i went all the way to find Cathay Picturehouse, got lost crossed the same red light FOUR times, got wet in the rain and ot weird looks from strangers and then they said the movie was no longer showing in the cinema. WTF la dey~ i had to change and rush all the way from SGH. Darn.
Was a bit disappointed cuz i missed the chance to watch it. Then heard from Hailwa tt they're showing Half Nelson in Cineleisure. Hope they can show it till next week. I WANNA WATCH! WAIT for me cinema ppl! Keep it rolling till i have time to go even if it means being alone in the whole theatre -..-

Mr Bean's Holiday
- Every month i try to belanja my family. Or my little brothers. Usually i bring them to watch movies. Last time it was Spongebob Squarepants the movie, then X-Men3 blahblah. Asked them and they said they wanna watch Mr Bean. Yay! Can't wait for March 22 when it opens. But by then they'll be back to school. Damn March hols and attachments~ Can't u both work hand in hand so that i can go out with my brothers without having to worry abt being home late? WARGH<

The History Boys
- Ooooo. I love watching movies abt teens. Plus point: Loads of angmoh teens in this British movie and its a COMEDY! Woohoo~ Must watch! You rancid little turd! LOL

- I'm not really a BIG fan of love , romantic movies especially Hugh Grant's [ I like Drew Barrymore tho :)] but this one caught my eye since i've been thinking of going into songwriting. Hehe. Borrowed Songwriting For Dummies *blushes* but haven't read it tho. Hahaha. Lets see where this leads me to..

Freedom Writers
- Another movie with teens acting in it. Saw the poster outside Cine while out with the band and totally stopped. Cuz i saw one of the actors sporting emo hair. *drools* Wahaha. And Sakina still prefers Mario. LOL

- omfg. I think this movie is a nice one. Read in someone's blog tt after he watched 300 he felt like fighting! Wahaha that i wanna see~ Movie goers throwing popcorn and coke cans all over each other while clambering over each other's girlfriends. What a sight to behold. Go Spartans!

Stomp The Yard
- A nigger dance movie. From my experience, nigger movies are friggin NICE! Good ones include You Got Served, Honey, Drumline. So i am not sure if this one will rock too.. Online reviews aren't giving it a chance.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Ooooo. TMNT is an all time fave cartoon of mine. And so is Spongebob! Hope this movie has all the action and comedy as its counterpart.

Blood And Chocolate
- Looks like a cool vampire movie. And i think there's cute actors in it too... Haha. But the online movie reviews aren't too good. In fact its BAD. damnit~

Just got home from my aunt's house, Cik Mai.. She just gave birth to a baby boy.. So cute laa~
There we watched this movie, Apocalypto directed by Mel Gibson. I didn't think the movie wld be nice to watch. But i was wrong. If you watch it with my family, aunts, uncles and cousins.. Even a half-assed dead movie would be thrilling to watch! Really enjoyed laffing my ass off watching my mum, aunts and cousins shouting and stuff. Possible movie plots even popped into the picture.. You shld be there to know how crazy it was.

One scene where the heroes had to run for safety while the villians shot at them had my mum and auntie jumping in their seats shouting "Run zig-zag! Run zig-zag! Then the arrows won't get to you!"

Another scene where heads were chopped off saw us cringing in our seats with sad disgusted faces on.. They had loads of cool scenes with blood all over the place..

Yeah i think we shld spend more time watching movies together. But if we got to the cinemas.. We'll get kicked out for sure. Cuz of how rowdy and LOUD we can be.. LOL

The day before, on CNY, my family [minus sis plus cousin Abg Along] went to Changi Beach to picnic. The whole beach was blue~ Literally littered with blue tents and camps. And i think 90% of them are Malay families. Got some banglas playing ard in the water tho.. LOL
Had fun playing water frisbee with my brothers and cousin. Mum jaga-d the bags as per normal. Now i'm kinda sun burnt but its okay. Not everyday i get to go to the beach yea.. Gotta spend more quality time with my family :D LOVE you ppl to the core!

Oooh and i moshed too on tt day.. Like two, five second moshes. Been wanting to join the moshes but must see the crowd first uh.. Aggressive or not.. Back from mass rollerblading/ falling sesh at ECP with Mark, Jun Xin, Kenneth C, Julian, Andri, Kelvin, his friend Aaron and Syarah . Darn bloody tiring. Aching all over. But it is sooo worth it. I love learning and trying out new stuff. Life is wayy too short to just sit around at home like a moron with nothing to do..

Haha but i was the slowest among them all and had to keep them waiting.. Really sorry you guys. Thanks for being so patient! Beginner per. Syarah and Andri are really good sia for beginners. Didn't fall as many times as me.. Then Andri had the guts to blade so fast that he fell hard on his rear end so many times. No pain no pain ey?

There'll be a next time and we'll invite more ppl too. Fun fun funn.. but scary at times.. Still having problems with downhills and uphills. Sorry no pics or photos. Next time maybe?

Some blading tips:
1. Always bend ur body forward. In this way you will keep your balance and there is lesser chances of falling on ur big fat ass.
2. Keep your skates parallel to the ground. <-- My main problem. I have no idea WTH i skate with my wheels turned inwards. Hard to balance sia.. 3. Stand up before moving. 4. Dont ever pull people when you fall. 5. Dont wear your shin guards or hand pads terbalik. <---- wahaha. Noob seh. Paiseh~ 6. When going over a hump, dun move your feet. Let it roll naturally and you will overcome the hump. 7. Don't make wild moves with your hands. Keep calm so tt u won't fall. 8. SMILE(: A crammed face will make ppl think you are not enjoying yourself la. Hehe 9. Dont concentrate on not falling too much. Enjoy beb~

Gosh.
The rain so needs some cursing nowadays. Its been raining nonstop for the past few days. Kinda wrecked many of my plans. No Escape theme park with blood family. No picnic at East Coast with NYPGC family.. Bleh.

But that didn’t stop us having it in Vivocity! Olaaaaaaaa~

Picnic-ed outside Food Republic for awhile and ate our food. Thanks Mum for cooking the noodles for me. Sorry we couldn’t finish it and it was spoilt by the end of the day. :( But it was delicious. Countdown to Euphoria

i'm sure u have heard this a gazillion times but i can do shit about it. I'm not online much nowadays due to my brothers both big and small monkeyshitheads hogging the computer twentyfour-seven. And to do what? Play bloody World of Warcraft. I have absolutely nothing against the game but its taking away my precious time online surfing and chatting on MSN. Wargh. Cuz my brothers are so damn addicted to the game. From 10 am to 3 in the morning they'll sit in front if the screen. I only get to use it when i really need to research or send something immediately. No fair no fair no fair~

Nevermind.
I still get the last laugh ey. Cause i am sooo going to enjoy my two weeks of break this coming week.. Hells yea. Gonna go shop till i drop at KL. Then hopefully a picnic outing with the NYPGC people. Meeting up with old aquaintances. Gigs galore at GasHaus.. BBQ with class? Movies or Minds Cafe with family? Yea and that top secret mission.. YingXian invited us to go to a JRock concert at Kallang CC. Seems like her friend is performing in one of the bands.. Imagine all the cosplayer and gothic makeup. Too bad there was some miscommunication and we had to give the mega event a miss.. Darn. Next year I wanna go!! Bring me along k girl! Book a ticket for me!




Met Hailwa and YingXian at Long John Silver’s at Hougang Mall for lunch. They bought me this cute Tasmanian Devil cake from Polar Puff’s and Cakes. Heh seems like his personality was the one closest to mine. Haha. The other characters they had were Tweety and Hello Kitty. ~no wonder la. Rubber flavored too.. LOL

Then both me and YX headed off to board 51 to go to [jengjengjeng] the Singapore Science Center! 2 bloody hours journey but it was good cause we had loads of time to catch up with news of the other classmates and what’s new in our lives. Oh yea.. Why of all places to go on your birthday.. to the Science Center? Am I THAT big of a nerd? Of course not! But I am that big of a giglover! Hoho~ Seems like there was an Indie Fest organized at tt place on 2nd Dec. Bands like Astreal, Electrico, Poptart and Guerilla Collective performed.

Met our other partner in crime, Desrie at the interchange. Went to McD to takeaway some dinner [frigging famished we were..]. Headed to the event and found out that we weren’t supposed to bring food or drinks in. Damn. So we had to eat our takeaways at the venue’s McD. The ladies presented me with beautiful accessories [i lOVE them!] and a down-right gorgeously cool white tee [LOVE this the most!].. Ooo yar.. Toilet. Outside please! wahaha(:

By the time we finished our food, we only managed to watch Electrico perform one song- We’re Not Made In The USA. But I was worth every damn minute. Managed to record a video of them performing tt song. Will upload it on Youtube.. Heh but I’ll apologise first cuz I’m an amateur photographer/ videographer so mind the shakiness of the video. I was also kinda dancing to the song so it kinda contributed to the shakiness of the film.. :P The short dark part where I aimed at the audience was cause they were moshing and I wanted to tape them doing it..

Too bad the drummer William couldn’t be seen.. He was way in the back. Waa~ he’s cute and I love the way he plays the drums with such feelings too!! LOL Desmond’s long hair is to die for! Yea Electrico rocks! Support our local music!

During the intermission, all three of us started camwhoring. Fun seh. Seems like camwhoring on the steps was not enough so we moved the party inside. It was like a walk down memory lane.. So long since I stepped into the Science Center. And that day it was free entry too! [Normal price= $9] Coolness~ Camwhored in front of the exhibits, with the exhibits and in the exhibits.. LOL

Wish we could have stayed longer and we could have even camwhored on TOP of the exhibits. Ahaha.
Thank you is such a small word to say when it comes to this guys. I feel so honoured to have you as my friends, who are willing to celebrate my turning of eighteen. It’s a one in a lifetime thing yea. Gosh. Xie Xie ni! :)

Death or .-Glory

Heyho.
Its 12.30 in the morning and that officially makes it 1st of December. Wargh. The Nanyang Polytechnic Guitar Club concert named La Guitare 2006 is today! I am so very nervous for the performance. My heart’s gonna beat so fast onstage. It’ll be so loud that it’ll overpower the songs played. Argh. So guys come to our concert and hear the rhythmic throbbing of my heart with guitar chords in the background. LOL

Don’t worry I’ll make my heart stop beating.. So nervous la.. Especially for the song Overture. Some parts are way to fast but the song is oh so nice to play. Well I am actually very much lacking of sleep right now. Just need to waste some time till my mask dries off.. Wahaha.

We’ll see how it goes today. See all you people with the tickets yea(:

Duration: One and a half hour –no intermission so u guys go and pee first before you come okay? In case u miss something if u had to go and do ur business halfway through the show.. xD
